HELP

I am potty training Revin this week, and I want to give up so bad! It is hard. I really want him to be potty trained before the baby gets here. Today is day 2 and I still don't feel like he is getting the point. He holds it in until he is shaking, but will not go on the potty. Does anyone have any good advice?

Let me just tell you that potty training was the most frustrating thing about being a parent. I was the same way with Mia. I refused to have 2 in diapers. One year later she was potty trained. I feel your pain. I felt like all I was doing was fighting with her and I knew I only had a few short months left of just me and her time before the baby came. So I put her back in diapers and one day, when she was ready, she started going. So all I can say is be patient and enjoy Revin why you can cause 2 is a lot more work. Hope that helped. Good luck!

Sounds like my kids! They can hold their pee for sooooo long it is amazing and makes potty training so diffucult! With both of my kids they were a little older but with Ethan it took three solid days of trying, mainly just accidents, and then he just got it. I also don't do pull ups. I put on underware and let them feel what it means to be wet, a lot of cleaning, but a pull up still feels like a diaper. Also, I tried potty training Ethan when I was pregnant with Ciara, gave a good try, no real results. I could see he was scared and I was trying to make him go when I wanted him to go. So put a diaper back on and left the potty in the bathroom but never made him try to sit on it. A few months after Ciara was born tried again and he got it by himself in just three days, dry day and night. So I don't know it is hard and frusterating and makes very LONG days. My doctor keeps telling me that they will get it when they want to and if you push them too much then I was going to have a 4 yr old refusing to be potty trained. Ciara literally potty trained herself on Mother's Day so I don't know, but my kids were older when I started training them, I think that helped. Good Luck and don't loose your mind beacause it is soooooo hard!
